    Rhodes will be dangerous as long as hes fighting, but he needs to set his big punches up off the jab and not come straight in

    Rhodes is taking some chances, throwing a southpaw 1-2 sporadically tossed in with his right jabs to keep Alvarez on his toes. Alvarez is landing some real bombs in return, however - and not even having to look hard for Rhodes with the latter's insistent lingering on the inside. Left hook to the body by Alvarez. Rhodes is landing some good lunging lead lefts but not pulling out fast enough as Alvarez pops him with hard counters. Uppercuts by Alvarez as Rhodes leans in. Rhodes adjusts his trunks and runs in place, gearing himself up.

    Closest round yet.

    Alvarez doesn't have 1 punch KO power, the Hatton fight and this one have proven that, along with the Jose Cotto fight. His power is over rated, he boxing IQ is over rated, I still think his chin is shakey.

    Rhodes did better but all that meant was throwing a punch. Alvarez controlled everything.
