When is last time u picked WALDO to win period?

How u can say he is going to win is beyond me. His chin is totally unproven against a good puncher let alone WALDO. Now if he has the cast iron chin, we could see a great fight.

Povetkin does seem to be a little overrated on ESB, but to his credit he done so much, in so little amount of fights. I think his win over Bryd was pretty good, but Bryd is not exactly much anymore, and if the Bryd of 02 vs Povetkin now, my money would of been Bryd without hesitation.

I think Povetkin will probably beat Chambers, but far from a given, considering Chambers blazing hand speed. If Povetkin does in fact fight Wlad Im giving it a 75/25 for Wlad, Povetkin is way too green and Wlad is way too seasoned and powerful.

Povetkin looked ordinary to me too..

Then i skipped off to Manheim with Friday Ahunanya, Friday has never really been hurt properly by any opponent as an Amateur or pro and has never been dropped.. That night after round 3 Friday came back to the corner breating like a truck and his nose running with blood.. He looked at me and i said "You alright man?" Friday said he is just catching me from strange angles..

Thats the point.. He does a lot of stuff you don't see, he is effective and takes risks to be succesful and has a very solid chin and a massive work ethic.. Povetkin is the real deal.. I was and am converted..

I'll be honest. I really wanted to go with Byrd in the rematch. As well as Brewster, but I didn't see it happening.

I also don't see Ibragimov winning, if that's any consolation.

But I like Povetkin's chances because as Bigcat pointed out, he's a smart fighter. He's gonna study rounds on Waldo, find the best way in and work hard, every round to make a dent in the big man. And that's something not a lot of guys attempt to do. Or if they did, they were just physically inferior.

Just about every guy Waldo has faced has either lacked serious experience, or serious physical ability. Povetkin has both of those qualities so we'll see. Even though he only has a few professional fights, he's the guy to beat right now for the champ.

Povetkin despite his many flaws Povetkin comes to fight. In a division filled with sluggards, this is a winning style. Once he learns about lateral movement he will be ready to beat Klitschko.

Seems like someone confused boxing with figure skating once again...it doesn't mean anything what it looks like in the ring, no points for pretty in this sport. I remember before Vitali Klitschko - Herbie Hide how so many were sure Hide would blast Vitali because he was sooo much faster - well, he may have looked faster and Vitali with his lanky physique will always look slow, but he isn't. Pavlik is another fighter who will never look like the most fluid boxer, but he is brutally effective and more skilled than most people give him credit for. BTW, I just rwatched Holyfield - Bowe 1 and on could easily say it was a terrible fight as far as skill is concerned, just two guys standing toe to toe trading hooks as if they don't know how to throw a straight punch.

Who cares what Povetkin looks like? So far, he is getting the job done quite well. But he will never beat Wlad unless Wlad has a meltdown.

Povetkin only has 14 fights and he has already beaten both Chris Byrd and Larry Donald decisively. That is immensively impressive, no matter how you look at it. I don´t think Povetkin is ready to fight Wlad anytime soon, but I think he should be able to sweep through fighters like Rahman, Ruiz, McCline, Arreola, Chambers, Austin, Liakhovich, Brewster and probably within a few fights, Chagaev, Maskaev, Ibragimov, Peter and Valuev.

At this stage in Byrd's career, it isn't exactly a hero feat either.

This doesn't look like the face and hairstyle of a future undisputed champion to some of you guys? :D

Wlad is very beatable when he's matched up against the type of fighter that troubles him the most. That fighter is a technical swarmer with great stamina and a great chin who throws a nice variety of punches in combinations nonstop with accuracy, good power, and fast hands. If Klitschko doesn't get caught badly and stopped in the early-mid rounds, he will be frustrated/tired after Povetkin takes his best punches and Wlad's stamina issue will once again be exposed. Povetkin will stop him, more likely late than early, but he will stop him. It has all the makings of a great competitive fight. I'm not just saying this because I'm a huge Povetkin fan and have followed him since very early on in his career. I really believe Wlad can't handle him for 12 rounds and I'm very confident in Povetkin's ability to take Wlad's right hands. My only big worry is Povetkin getting seriously cut up right over the eyes or something very unlucky like that. He is green as a pro fighter, but Klitschko is a bit overrated right now and very beatable.

I just hope when Wlad gets stopped he doesn't retire. He can pretty much annihilate the rest of the HW division and create a legacy for himself. If he retires after losing to Povetkin he will be known as a fighter who got knocked out 4 times and never had a great win, even though he is extremely dangerous to many great fighters throughout history (especially ones with vulnerable chins or weak power).

Although Im a fan of Wlad, I was disinterested in the HW division, but that was until Alexander Povetkin came along. Im very high on Povetkin and I think he could go far in this inconsistant HW division. I'd favor him over everybody besides Wlad and Sergei.
