I will admit Canelo is improving and since he has fought a "decent" opponent who didn't do anything he still deserves credit. Its not Canelo's fault Rhodes wasn't throwing or doing much to atleast make the fight competitive. Now that GBP has upped Canelo's competition, the Junior Middleweights seems stacked with good possible opponents.

    Paul Williams
    Cotto
    Dzinziruk
    Angulo
    Pawel Wolak
    Cintron
    Martirosyan
    Bundrage
    Lara
    Joel Julio
    Kirkland
    Ishida
    Margarito

Personally I would like Canelo/Angulo because of their styles. I think Canelo beats the **** out of Martirosyan, Bundrage, Lara, Wolak, Joel Julio, Kirkland, and Ishida.

Which possible opponent would you like to see Canelo fight next?

    **Reminder**
Cotto/Margarito are Top Ranks cash cows in that division so Arum wont put them against Canelo because of the feud he has with GBP. Good fights there too but the feud is ruining everthing.

vanes next is oki for me, gbp/toprank feud is ending right, why not make this fight.
after that I would like to see him fight the powell/bundrage winner.
i think cotto next year would be good as well.

Why is James "T" Kirkland even in that list? He didn't even really "step up" yet in the last fight where he got the sh*t beaten out of him by a featherfist.
Not even close to world level.

Canelo vs Vanes would be a very interesting fight in deed... it might happen as the undercards main event on floyd vs ortiz or something like that I heard.

  5. he should fight kirkland and guys like julio and wolak, i think hes still a bit green to fight cotto and marg even at this point in their careers

    From that list he beats
    Dzinurik
    Wolak
    vanes
    bundrage
    Lara
    julio
    kirkland
    ishida
Cintron :think probably but jury stilll out could be dangerous but withn a year most definitely

    still dangerous not sure
ANgulo canelo more talented but still not sure how canelo would handle el perros power

PW - too much experience right know lets wait and see

Margo ^^^ i think Margo is still a top guy we will see

Cotto lets wait and see, but this is almost an even match for Canelo

Within a year though i think Canelo should be the top dog...Just a couple more questons to be answered but at the rate he is going hell be alright.

It was Canelo's fault that Rhodes did nothing, because he was that good. Rhodes shouldn't have been as easy as he was and he certainly came to fight but Canelo beat it out of him. That deserves a lot of praise, I think.

Cotto/Alvarez, Williams/Alvarez, Angulo/Alvarez and Margarito/Alvarez are three excellent fights and I'm not confident about any of those picks.

I genuinely think Canelo is an elite level fighter now. Unlike a lot of fighters his age, you can see the progress with each fight.

Me too. That would be a significant bout against an easy opponent. Canelo would stop him, I think. It makes a lot of sense though and would boost Canelo's popularity in America.

After last night I think he can beat them all, the thing about Canelo is that he can improve in every fight, so putting him in now with Margo,Cotto, and Williams is not the soundest of ideas.

Id love to see him fight Vanes,Wolak, Cintron to set up a big fight against Cotto, Margorito or Williams
