Sorry, but times move on and as much of a nostalgia freak as you are, you've got to realise that Ali has major problems with a 6'7 heavyweight fighter who has the endurance, power, elusiveness, reach and ability to work down smaller fighters that Vitali has.

Ali always struggled with fighters his size or bigger who had endurance and talent, his losses to Norton for instance should show you something. I think the only fighter from that era that gives either Klitschko problems is George Foreman because of his own size, power and chin - the rest? I think Ali survives a 12 rounded beat down against Wladimir but gets absolutely rocked by Vitali who wouldn't be knocked out by some of Ali's best shots.

Good shout putting this thread up Shaunster, the man will be happy while he rests.
I'm sure it will go over a lot of the fanaticals heads, but at the same time strike a few nerves. Just what he would've wanted. :bbb

As I understand Fighting Weight was on many forums dumping out anti-Klitschko posts all day long. Not getting any exercise, and maybe geting upset at all the Klitschko fans.
A lesson for life! Never take boxing too seriously.....

Thanks for being a good sport PP and contributing new material! Can Mendoza post his one about Chagaev being top 5 in any era and beating some lineal champs?

Chagaev isn't Top 5 in this era, let alone any era.

But it's the ole Tua vs Marciano theory again, everyone understands and realises that Marciano beating Tua is highly unlikely due to their respective styles and talent, but Marciano is seen as an ATG where as Tua is a fat over-rated piece of ****.

What a complete load of shite you've just posted. His losses to Norton were past prime for a start. He didn't have any problem with 6'6" Ernie Terrell who was known for having a terrific jab.

You are such a tool. Tua would not beat Marciano. Tua is the most over-rated HW H2H of all-time, even above Ibeabuchi. He had a good left hook and a good chin, that's it. Marciano despite being a swarmer is the much more technically skilled fighter and defensively far better too. He comfortably beats Tua. Difference in class, no contest.

Wow, Seriously, George Foreman in his prime would have literally knocked out WK in 3 rounds. And I mean he would have been taken out on a stretcher. GF was a fast starter, and had decimating power that could level a city block!

Agreed Foreman was beast and i dont think any heavy today would last to long with him.
