    Never before has a fighter gained so much applaud for doing so little. I really dont get it. Hes only beaten 2 so so contenders and was on ***** street with andrade. Am i missing something? Boxing monthly got him as number one????? U gotta be ****ing kidding me. I hope kessler obliterates him , but were gonna have to wait cause now hes fighting the shell of pavlick apparently. I really am scratching the old noggin.:huh

    The mind boggles, he is one of the most hyped up fighters without actually achieving anything.

    In fairness... Mendy is his mando... and there's certainly a bit more to Bute than a hype job for me.

    Fair enough suppose its the IBFs fault, do you rate him higher than Ward or Froch?

    In terms of ranking, no chance. He just hasn't had the opposition for it.

    Head-to-head I'd give him a decent chance against Froch. We all seen the damage Kessler's body shots did...

    best smw active at the moment he will beat froch,ward if they fight.personally i would like to see him go up to lhw and beat bhop and pascal

    We're talking facts though now dude. That is just your opinion. Rankings are based on opponents face and beaten. He he just hasnt done **** all. On the general some of the ******s over there are hailing him as the second coming. Ridiculous.

    Yes because Kessler rejected a $3m offer to face him because he would rather face the terrible Stieglitz for the crappy WBO title.
    After he beats Pavlik in November it will be Bute Vs Ward/Froch winner.

    sometimes you see fighters and think there avoiding cos they've found there limit and dont wanna lose the '0' but i dont think thats the case with bute, he's very skilled probly the nearest to a calzaghe, i think fights with him against froch or ward will be very interesting, if he's a hypejob to a lot of folk on here then i do believe within a years time there could be quite a lot of people looking stupid on here.

    People call him a hypejob because hes ranked #1 by alot of people without fighting anyone of note. No ones denying hes got skills but you have to see someone in with elite opposition so see how good they really are. Currently i think Froch/Ward beat him because they have been in with top guys and done well, i havent seen Bute fight anyone on their level so i have to side with the person whos proven and achieved more.
