will Kell Brook really be ready for a title Shot on 1st October?

I think he's been to inactive, so a title shot in October may be a little premature. Thats not to say he's not capable of beating Senchenko, Zaveck or even Jones.

I would like to see him fighting every 2 or 3 months against reasonable opposistion (Steve Forbes, Demarcus Corley, Alfonso Gomez, Vivian Harris, Jose Luis Castillo etc).

Then maybe see him get a title shot in 6 to 8 months time.

 

Find it sad as **** that Brook was getting the same hype 4 years ago as he is now and still hasnt fought anyone

I think Brook needs a high level opponent to show his best, now is as good a time as any. Good luck to the boy.

 

May as well bookmark this thread and repost it in another 3 years, when Brook still hasn't fought anybody of note.
If he's that good then let him prove it.

 

I'm starting to think Brook is not the fighter he was years ago. He looked sharper, looked like he punched harder and had better reflexes. I think he missed a good 4 prime years either injured or fighting nobodies.

Time is ticking and I'm not so sure Brook, who is approaching 30, is at the peak of his powers. He's looked a little one paced and has a tendency to get caught a fair bit. I'm not so sure he even beats Mallignaggi, who I can see outboxing him, because he looks a little static and doesn't look like he can work at a high pace for 12 rounds.

The jury is still well and truly out on Brook imo.
