I thought Hagler dominated from round 13 onwards and was unlucky not to get the decision :deal

The reason Marvin boxed out of the right hand stance is because he thought Ray Leonard had an answer for it as he kept saying in pre-fight interviews. Hagler thought since Leonard was training for a southpaw all that time a change in stance would disrupt his gameplan and throw him off. It was brillient mindgames on Ray Leonard's part and Marvin fell for it.

The reason Hagler came out slow and tentative was because he wanted first to prove he could beat Leonard in different ways and secondly because he wanted to have a big reserve in the tank for the championship rounds. You see, in the 80's Ray Leonard's stamina was legendary. Leonard always finished like a crazy man, everybody knew this and so did Hagler. Look at his big fights with Hearns, Benitez and even the first Duran fight. Unfortunately for Marvin Hagler it cost him his title and by the time he changed up it was too late and he was falling short and missing for the most part.

I would love to say otherwise but Leonard won the fight.

Hagler gave away the early rounds by fighting orthadox, the second half of the fight was more even but Leonard still took a couple of them. Can't remember exact scores would need to watch again but Leonard by at least 2 rounds.
