You are probably 'slapping' the bag and not turning your fist over properly to land on your large knuckles.

If you're sure that's the problem, then try to only tense your fist at the last second before impact. So when your guard is up and you're not punching your hands are open and relaxed inside your gloves and then you only make a full first right before you hit the bag/pads/person.

It should take some stress off your knuckles, it'll add some snap to your punches and you will save some energy.

You may also have your handwraps done up too tight.

yeah, what this guy said. It made a big difference when my hands were loose and i clenched at the last second.

try a knuckle guard if it helps.

its not my wraps ive even been putting extra gauze in for extra padding across the top knuckles , and I always try to stay loose till impact ,I think its more the size of the padding you clench around in the glove.
I got it bad when i used a set of twins gloves and have changed gloves but it still happens can you get gloves with a thicker pad to clench around?
