He does. I've been watching lots of Wlad fights on youtube lately, and you know, over the years he has eaten quite a few bombs from heavy hitters. In many of his FIFA short wearing days, he took shots from known boxers with good KO numbers and just stood there. And even in more recent fights in the 2000's, he has taken good shots with little to no effect. I think many people will be surprised if Haye manages to swarm him with his pitter patters and in the end, Wlad just takes it with little to effect.
I don't think it would. Haye's a good boxer when he wants to be, and it's not that ridiculous to envisage him taking advantage of Wladimir's low activity.
If Wlad could take Haye's best shots then Haye's best bet would be trying to outpoint Wlad. Which is much much harder than to TKO the actual Wlad.
Thats what I think will happened. It will be Khan versus Maidana and Lewis versus Tyson all over again. People read in to much in the Sanders loss. Besides, Wlad has felt what it means to loose before, and he does not want to endure it again. To the least against Haye. Dont think he will crumble.
Wlad has a decent chin. Haye on the other hand...not so much. This one is going to go down as Wlad predicts with a late KO after much punishment.
You must not know **** about boxing if you think Haye would be the man to take advantage of Wladimirs low output, when David himself averages 12 punches per round against a sloth like Valuev. atsch
I dont think Vlad is china chinned, **** its the heavyweight division and there may be alot of bums around but even bums at heavyweight can land sicking knock out bombs. But then im not sayin hes iron chinned either, its definatly on the softer side of average. But if he had a solid chin like his brother then yes i would give Haye no chance what so ever. Vlad is not slow enough and Haye is not a good enough boxer for haye to try bother doin what he did with Valuev.
What I meant was that Wladimir's less-than-appealing style of jab-jab-grab, could be seen as inferior to Haye's occasional powerful bursts if he was to apply an ambush type strategy. I wouldn't expect Haye to grind him down like a Glen Johnson would, because like you say, Haye hasn't got the stamina to do that. Instead, it may work if he did what Pascal did against Dawson. And that was to launch quick, powerful bursts every now and again to catch the eyes of the judges. Which is kind of what I think he'll be doing come July 2nd.
He has taken some good shots the purrity and brewster fights he wasnt KO'd towel came in when he gassed and couldnt defend himself vs purrity and vs brewster he gassed got an 8 count and colapsed after the bell and the ref waved it sanders is the only guy to truly stop Wlad and Sanders can punch and Wlad got up from every knockdown he had never been out cold
:good agree 100 percent though i feel haye is way more live than tyson was ppl look into the sanders fight too much wlad was young flawed took it on short notice and probably underestimated the guy all wlad had on his mind was a lewis fight since then he has been great other than the 5th round of the brewster fight and going down 3 times vs Peter since 05 Wlad has been perfect
In response to the actual question, I think if Wlad had, for example, Vitalis chin then this almost certainly WOULD be a two or three round destruction for Wlad. The reasons being Wlad would have less need for caution and really could attack with relative impunity unloading punches without notable fear of his vulnerabilities and being countered. As it is Haye DOES have a chance, but that chance is largely based on landing a really good shot and managing to follow up before Wlad can recover. What could turn this match into a stinkfest is Wlad being overly cautious because of Hayes power and Haye running and trying to potshot.
I'm not 100% sure on this one, mate. I have been sitting on the fence. But a sensible choice would be a Wladimir decision victory. He may find it difficult to find the target earlier on, and he may even experience a few scary moments, but once he begins anticipating Haye's attacks better, he'll begin controlling the pace. He'll get his jab going, the right hands will follow, and he could have a tired, retreating Haye in his hands by the 10th round. At that point he could push for a stoppage, or a decision win. But that's me doing a great disservice to Haye and Booth, who I think will put up a more resilient showing than most people here seem to think. Despite the above prediction, I do believe it's insane to dismiss Haye's chances so easily, simply because of the talent he brings. He's easily the toughest test for Wladimir in a long time, so surely that's got to count for something?
