I think McCallum was a notch better overall and more consistent. Nelson more physically gifted and a better puncher, but i still tend to favour Mike.
Walcott and Charles were smooth, but not great heavyweights imo.At least no in the "generally regarded as top 10" thing i had in mind by great....
Random observation 1. Liston is the only great heavyweight champion with smooth head movement.
Hagler.
Gomez was damaged goods when Nelson beat him.he'd lost his balance, reflexes and speed.Ready to be taken by a good challenger. I'd rate the likes...
Yeah, a great little fight.Classic '70s Flyweight action. Espadas was just a novice here.tough learning fight for him....i seem to remember he...
Toney wasn't even the most technically skilled middleweight of his era, though he is a great technician.
First ballot. had just as good a career as Calzaghe.
Not even remotely close.
Agree. Not a Mugabi fan really, but even less of an Oscar one above 147. Oscar gets hit too much to win this imo, and doesn't have near the power...

Would he be able to land enough to wear him down though?.Vic doesn't have the accuracy or technique of Carbajal and Arbachakov. Kittikassem has...
Kittikassem didn't have a good chin, but by the time he was dethroned by arbachakov, he had become a solid cagey boxer-puncher...though not one...
Gomez looked shaky and unconvincing against laporte as well imo.Laporte could well have won that fight had he thrown more than 5 punches a...
I rate Hopkins below Juan Manuel Marquez, Nonito Donaire, Pac and michael Spinks. Eder Jofre is overrated. He never beat a great fighter.
