I live in China, these days... wish I had seen the OP's list when lockdown was in full effect! Great list
I love making lists, and I think they're pretty good. But this post sums up exactly why my HW list is crap, haha Difficult to rate one trick...
Although he could beat Tua, I don't think he would. I'll go for Tua by KO, and say he's behind on the scorecards but knocks Spinks silly, mid-rounds.
I put him above most of the other heavies who are rightly or wrongly termed "one trick ponies."
I really like Ruddock. Also, although I think I'm good at lists, actually, I'm really rubbish. And biased. As such, I say Razor is number 31 HW. Yeah.
So difficult... 1~2. Napoles/Gavilan 3. Rodriguez Any order is okay!
Buchanan is difficult... He's the borderline between great and really (or all-time) great.. I'll say Laguna was a wonderful showing!
If asked to weigh in anywhere up to 154lb, 12 hrs before the fight (15 rounds): Robinson Burley Hearns Walker Gavilan Griffith Ketchel...
Lists are tricky. And as much as I try, at any weight, I can't get over my bias towards my favourite fighters (Choynski, Liston, Ketchel, Wilde), haha
If they both had to weigh in at anywhere they like up to 168lb.... let's say 12hrs prior... In your opinion, does Marshall beat the top career...
Yeah, Marshall was kind of an inspiration for this thread... I was working on a top 50 MW, and couldn't put my finger on my I had him lower than I...
*I consider SRR the best Welter anyway, obviously... just also think he would be number 1 at 154lb, too.
Whose legacy do you think could have potentially been enhanced by campaigning at a half-weight above/below 160, if the option was there for them?...
Jeffries Johnson Louis Liston Ali That is all. I think they beat all who came before them.
Haha, McGrain and McVey have forgotten more about boxing than I'll ever know. But would be nice if they contributed to my harmless McThread.
