Of course
He's certainly high on the discussion, but a lot of people overrate him. I wouldn't pick him as a top 3 peak ever in HW division to be honest,...
Then why did Louis stop all of the swarmers he faced in his prime in brutal fashion, with the exception of Godoy who did everything to survive?
I doubt Dempsey would try to survive in a way Godoy did. Remember, Godoy didn't really try to knock out Louis, he was there to survive.
Holmes who came out of retirement. I never saw people rawing about Jack Johnson knocking out Jeffries.
I'd say he's overrated if anything. People only remember him because he had a few good looking KOs in his career, he was a fancy agressive puncher...
Two of the most overrated peaks in HW history!
Then I agree with your take here, nothing to add.
Some people (not necessarily me) could argue that the boxing is significantly less popular these days than it used to be. We have so many sports...
This sums up perfectly every single boxer in every single era. Thanks for proving my point.
Morrison also always does better than in real life, so everything is perfect! :D
Joshua by stoppage, fairly easily in fact.
So do you think his record is a myth? Judging punching power by photos might be the worst take I have ever seen here...
Not a single mention of Schmeling vs Louis I? It's definitely up there and it meets all criteria.
Bon Fitzsimmons is the answer then - little footage and over a century ago ;)
