Yep. Although some people do have ridiculous metabolisms, it just boils down to finding away to get in more calories.
You don't need to eat 5 times a day, nor do you have to avoid sugar. If you can't eat more calories, drink more calories.

What difference are you suggesting that makes exactly? I love how you say that I don't have a clue, then post an example day of under 1,500kcal...
Let me know how 1,500kcal at your height and weight pans out in the long-term.
Your body adapts to maintain on lower calories. Then eventually when you aren't losing on 1600kcal you have to either decrease food further or up...

I've seen people go through full 'ab workouts' and barely stimulate abs.
I'm not, however whey protein has been a staple source of protein in my diet for the last few weeks.

3000kcal isn't a great deal. Eat a chocolate bar/burger/ice-cream/milkshake or whatever if you're struggling to get the calories in.
It's great, but it's expensive. I wouldn't bother.
