Who wins
Resumes by themselves don't win fights. Someone like Luis Ortiz might well beat Marciano despite the lack of top tier wins
Other guys frequently ranked in the top 10 have gaping holes in their resumes. I don't see how Mayweather's alleged cherry picking is more egregious.
Regardless of Shavers exact power the fact is he was far less consistent than Povetkin and generally lost to his best opponents while Povetkins...
None of those guys are relevant in today's division as far as I can see. They are not beating anyone of relevance
And Ruiz probably takes this pretty comfortably. He has a thin resume but resumes don't win fights.
Meehan lost pretty much every time he stepped up. Beating a far past it Langford doesn't help his case much.
I think Stewart was like 6'1 1/2, he seems shorter than the 6'3 Foreman in the fight Some of the heights listed for 1990s heavies are pretty dubious
Bowe may have just been a bad stylistic matchup for Holyfield. But in terms of overall ability, it's not apparent he is levels beyond...
Witherspoon has one prime stoppage loss. Later stoppage losses in his 40s are irrelevant. He certainly seems less chinny than Moorer given he...
Many heavyweights from that era are rated on very little simply because the top fighters generally didn't fight each other. Without the Holyfield...
old Foreman arguably lost to Alex Stewart. You didn't even have to be world class to cause him huge problems and arguably beat him. I don't...
Foreman fought Rodrigues in 1990 at that time I would rank all the following guys over him Holyfield Tyson Witherspoon Tubbs Ruddock Williams...
I would argue that ranking was wildly off then. I don't think we have to blindly accept rankings if the evidence points to them being off....
There is nothing to suggest Rodrigues was the 10th best heavyweight in the world. I thnk that ranking can be dismissed as a severe misjudgement...
