Hopkins doesn't look anywhere near the guy who fought Kovalev. His body is just a lot slower and more unresponsive
He brought the Executioner back?
Non stop whirlwind in the first minute of the 9th by Usyk. Moved to the side to land 4 or 5 straight left hands. Usyk knew when Mchunu was fading...
Does Mchunu take the 8th? He landed some good clean shots, but Usyk threw and probably landed more. I'll give it to Mchunu.
Boxnation commentators ignoring Mchunu's success for most of the fight, and just how difficult he's been for Usyk.
NOW Usyk's in his groove. That's how you nullify a counterpuncher, with combos so he can't return. Perfectly chosen uppercut to knock Mchunu down....
Usyk still not entirely sure how to fight Mchunu. But he's letting his hands go a lot more, and moving to the side after he finishes. Clearly won...
I've got it 2-2
Mchunu such a hard target, with his size and that shoulder roll defence. Usyk having a hard time connecting with more than jabs. Mchunu landed...
Mchunu looks like he could make 190 while Usyk looks like he won't be at cruiser too long.
At least one good counter by Mchunu, but Usyk won the 1st with his jab.
For sure, Gvozdyk would be a good one. But I think I might pick Barrera. A bit slicker, better counter puncher.
This really puts Ward and Kovalev's class in perspective. Except for Beterbiev, Barrera's probably the next best light heavyweight. Barrea vs...
Barrera just schooled Shabransky and beat him from corner to corner. Made Shabransky look like a cement-footed, clueless novice.
Great performance by Barrera. I really thought Shabransky's activity would handcuff him from throwing this much.
