For me personally, the time when Holmes was noticeably slowing down was 83 - 84 . Even if Larry had faced that Cooney two or three years earlier...

It was a tough hard challenger for Holmes at the time. I know Cooney was no Witherspoon or Norton but he was dangerous and powerful all the same....
If any version of Holmes is going to beat Tyson, I'd say it could be this one. Then again, this version of Tyson was on fire!
