Cotto has a huge fanbase..but he could built it much more.
There is no dominant figure in the LHW division right now, but if somebody can be called "Champion", that man is Joe Calzaghe. :smoke
--------- I was just thinking: Can you imagine if Wlad retires with this resume?: 2008: Sultan Ibragimov 2008: Tony Thompson 2008:...
PBF is a nice guy when he is not acting. Check the post-fight interview of the Hatton fight.
I always thought most fighters shouldn't care about them. They are just words. Tito wasn't affected by them.
1. Whitaker 2. Jones 3. Mayweather
Bull****. Following your logic, Lennox Lewis could not be considered a legend. But he is considered an ATG.
This could be logical. If Cotto beats Oscar, he will have the prestige and fame to make a PBF-Cotto fight unavoidable.
He doesn't have to fight anyone else. His resume is complete. Few fighters achieve that.
If Jones fights and beats Calzaghe, there could be arguments to rank him above Leonard.
Lineal and Ring are the same thing 99% of the cases: The man who beat the man...
BTW...Lewis and Whitaker can't be Lineal Champs. They have retired. They are not boxers anymore, so can't be considered boxing Lineal champs....
I think Klitschko has done enough to be considered the Champ: dominate for two years and unify.
:good Jones was the first Light heavyweight champ since Michael Spinks.
Heavyweight: Wladimir Klitschko (2008 ) Cruiserweight: David Haye (2007-2008 ) Light Heavyweight: Joe Calzaghe (2008 ) Super Middleweight:...
