Fedor does sound very stubborn. Maybe he simply thinks he is bigger than the UFC and they should bow to him rather than vica versa.
How on earth would CC know this?!?! :think Fedor is signed under contract to M-1 for his next 3 fights. Whatever happens his next 3 fights WILL BE under the M-1 banner. Strikeforce allowed this. The UFC did not. This sounds like a load of made up bull**** to me. Is Dana paying fighters to say this? Seems insane to think the sheer amount of fighters who have got there Oar in on this whole affair..
If MMA is serious about staying as a mainstream sport, it sure should have more then a single promotion that is run by a foul mouthed douche.
Your so right, just like boxing has WBO,IBO,IBF,ABC,DEF,GHI..... that is the best way to do things and have every org try to have their fighters not fight champs of other org's.:-(
At least those organisations work together. Name me ONE MMA org the UFC works with outside of Zuffa... Dana's really interested in the health and wealth of MMA's isnt he.
You have it mixed up. Those organizations are not promotions. They produce rankings. Promotions are outfits like Top Rank, or Don King, or Sauerland Events, or Golden Boy. It does not have to be more then one belt. What should happen is that the contenders are not locked into a single organization and can fight each other.
If all the best were in 1 promotion whether it be UFC Strikeforce or Dream we wouldn't have this problem. The UFC is close to being the regonized org with the best fighters and the fighters with a UFC belt are considered top of their weight class, of course minus Fedor and Gegard and a few others.
He tries to get all the best to fight the best whether you believe that or not. Fedor could fight a Japenese pro wrestler with mask and you would think that is great because he isn't in the UFC.
I believe it not. He tries to lock the best in exclusive contracts that bring him copious amount of moneys. That is his duty as a businessman, but we could not give a flying **** about those duties as fans. Since when competition is not a good thing? Since you moved to Soviet Russia? Bull****. Boxing works fine, there is no reason MMA should work differently.
