He will be remembered for being a **** who fought old fighters. No one will care when he hangs them up.

No one cared the first time either.

Some people are just slow and can't understand his mental games. They fall right into his trap. He's been doing this for years and some people still don't get it. What a sad bunch!!

Floyd isnt smart enough to set "mental traps".

Pure man boy and nothing else.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up what I had been thinking for awhile now. Floyd caught hurt feelings over the Olympics & then over not being embraced as the best in the sport after earning championships. I remember the state of boxing leading up to & after the Gatti fight. Slowly, I saw Floyd become more & more impatient & intolerant of criticism directed at him after each fight.
The switch from the "Pretty Boy" Floyd who fought Hernandez, Castillo, & Corrales is a noticeable contrast from the Floyd "Money May" who fought De La Hoya, Hatton, & JM Marquez.

IMO, it's not unlike when MC Hammer (who I liken to a "Puff Daddy part 1") went from this:

to this (his very next album):

Big difference. Another hip hop reference would be Tupac. Before he starred in "Juice", he was strictly on a "conscious rap" tip with Digital Underground. After starring in "Juice", he most definitely pushed his gangsterism to the fullest.

I disagree. Floyd Jr. did not change his media image overnight.

That article is for casual boxing fans. Anyone who follows boxing faithfully can read between the lines, and understand the true ramifications of Floyd's rhetoric.

Money May wins the fights before he steps in the ring. He has mosley totally outta his comfort zone trying to talk ****. PBF generates as much buzz as the all the rest of the fighters put together. PBF appeals to casual and fight fans alike. If you like him or not it's good for boxing to have the attention.

Mayweather is a marketing genius. He's really built himself up in the black community. My dad got me watching him like 11 years ago. It wasn't unitl the Gatti fight that Black Americans started paying attention to him. Now, you go into any barbershop and when boxing comes up(and it always does in black barbershops) the topic always turns to Mayweather. The black radio stations in Philly have been talking abou this fight a lot. He's branched out though. He's got his base within the black community, but young white guys and young hispanic guys appreciate him as well. It's amazing how much more popular he's become in a relatively short time.
