I think Chagaev at his best is arguably as god as anyone on that list, but the post-injury post-illness version of Ruslan has frankly never shown anything like that form, and that was the Chagaev that Wlad got. Byrd stands comparison, but I agree that Tyson's level of competition was generally better.
I'm "sorry" to have "insulted" your god Waldo the "Great". I do however understand there are many of your fellow Germans who are also deluded Klit-Huggers. :nut
Chagaev was done after his hepatitis and looked terrible against Skeleton, and didn't look as good against Ruiz as Toney or Jones in his prime Byrd got a few gifts and he would get clearly beat by any of the guys Kalasinn listed Ibragimov did what exactly? Not much Bodhi hypes German based boxer SHOCKER
Show me were I wrote something different. The tiny word "much" was in there for a reason. But yeah, the Chagaev post-illness wasn´t as well but if Spinks and Holmes are included, Chagaev should be allowed too. Kids, grow up.
i'm actually reading a post of bodhi's right now in the general making fun of klitschko fans so I don't think it applies THIS time around...always with schmeling though ....
I see how this works, because Spinks got steamrolled by a Peak Tyson, his previous accomplishments at Heavyweight are nullifier, & he drops to the level of a Hepatitis-infected Chagaev.
Great fighters beaten between them. NONE. Two big fish is a very shallow pond. Statistics are useful but do not tell the whole story, neither brother makes my ATG heavyweight list. Chisora, who was Wlad's next defence before Wlad was injured, was unranked, and untested and, had to sign the mandatory commitment to make his first defence against the other brother,, for their promotional company K2, in the unlikely event that he beat Wlad. Hopefully a shoot out between Wlad and Haye will take place in the New Year, and we may then , actually see a Klit in an entertaining , fan friendly fight. P S. Louis became champion in 1937 ,and he was considered the uncrowned champion for at least a year prior to that.
So you're telling me that in this era of modern hw's too big and strong for the heavies of the past the best strap of the most dominant hw in our era, who some people even on THIS board are willing to rank as a top 20 HW...Is a former light-heavyweight 8 years in his career? Who lost to a bully like Ibeabuchi? And beat Vitali by injury? (I'm not disagreeing with you, i think Chambers, Chagaev, and Byrd are on a similar level as far as straps go but )
