If he can make 135...why is he making Marquez come up in weight?

on the flip side, is there any challenges for manny at lightweight?
the marquez fight would of been epic, but its too late.. manny could of beat the undisputed jmm.
Or Gamboa since he is moving to lightweight.. i just dont know if he can carry his talents there..

Seems like they want an advantage...if Marquez looked terrible at Welterweight in 09; what makes them think he will look any better 2 years later (and older)...just seems like trying to exploit a weakness...

If he can easily make 135; fight at 135...This is out of Manny's mouth...if 135 is easy, fight Marquez at a more comfortable weight instead of making him come up in weight and look sluggish

yes exactly. Marquez won't beat Manny at any weight now, but why try to put him at a complete disadvantage. He says he wants to make his fights entertaining, but he won't give that if it's against the wrong opponents at the wrong weights

He aint desperate. Manny knows fighters would line up to fight him just for the money, JUST FOR THE MONEY, why the hell would he come to them? let them come to him. The only fighter that could even make a difference in his legacy is on vacation. In the meantime, while we're all waiting, he will be an entertainer. Take him seriously or not doesnt matter. He's just there to give other fighters the opportunity to fight him and give them their biggest paychecks.

OK - Cotto at 145, Margaritto at 150, Oscar at 147.

That's three fights, Marquez will be the fourth.

Does that make him a kind of CWs?

Of course he can make 135, if he wants to drain himself. And then we ask him to fight Martinez @ 160!:deal
