Ike was really good. Big, Strong, Stamina, skills, chin, and was willing to fight in the danger zone to break you down and take you out.

Sometimes people go over-board on him so it seems to cause others to knock him right back down...but he was Really Good and had the ability to take the title. But how long would he keep it before he jumps off a cliff ?...not sure.

This is an example of how racists obsessed Klitshcko fans react when there is a Heavyweight thread that doesn't include K2. They get hot and bothered and they usually try to bring down the fighter with BS stats that don't tell the story or they say Vitaly and Wlad would beat any version of ____________. Probably never even seen an Ibeabuchi fight before but it won't stop him from talking out of his ass.

He came on at the right time. The legends of the sport were getting older and assuming he fought them in 2000-2001 he had enough in the tank to give a good scrap and possibly beat Holyfield, Tyson and Lewis. Great Heavyweight Era's are not just top heavy but they have considerable depth.

70s: Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton (supporting cast: Lyle, Shavers, Quarry, Bugner, Ellis, Young)

80s: Holmes, Witherspoon, Spinks, Tyson (supporting cast: Thomas, Tucker, Page, Dokes, Berbick, Smith)

90s: Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis (supporting cast: Moorer, Morrison, Mercer, Ruddock, Tua, Golota)

    00s: Should have been
Lewis, Ibeabuchi, Vitaly, Wlad (supporting cast: Byrd, Ruiz, Rahman, Chagaev, Valuev, Peter)

I disagree, his two fights against those live bodies showed a great deal of his ability to deal with a big puncher in a high octane bout and his ability to deal with a slick boxer who made just about everybody look bad. The film is pretty clear to see what his capabilities were; his potential was simply incredible. I think he stops Rahman and McCall and gives Lewis a helluva fight in 2000.

We are tired of your criminal idols?:lol::lol:

Based on you english I'm going to assume that you don't live in the US, UK or Canada and if you do you are an immigrant who really shouldn't be talking. So it's likely you live in Europe; more likely Eastern European. So in the country you live in where there is likely a small to non-existent black population, is there any crime?

    The insecurity is finally revealed.

86 Tyson, imho, is the best Tyson and that version of him can fight h2h with any boxer who ever lived. That's the pre-Robin version that annihilated Berbick, Frazier etc. After March 87 it was all downhill. Rumor has it he was already only half training by the time he met Spinks in 88.

    I Like Ike . . .

    ATG that never was!

Would have been very interesting to see him fight the best Tyson, Evander, Lennox, Bowe . . . Poor crazy ******* robbed us of an even better era in boxing. He would kept the sandwich period with Ruiz and Bird at bay and could have been the man for many, many years after!

    Ike for President

That actually made me think about this whole USA vs USSR debate that's been going on. APCs are the one of the few things the Russians were building better than us...Then along came the Bradley:smoke

-he was a dangerous puncher, but slow, short arms and reputed heavy steroid usage dooms his chances at serious ATG

So you did post it wrong by saying pre86 Tyson :tong. Obviously I'm not agreeing with you with this as imo a completely untested Tyson wouldn't have been ready for a prime Ali, Foreman, Lewis etc, however I can see where your coming from. In my mind people overrate Tyson on this forum vastly but I know personally I slightly underrate him. Im not too sure what it is, but I just can't help it.

Puh-leez. A true ATG like Holyfield ANNIHILATES the FRAUD ATG with TWO fighst against live bodies and the rest against NOBODIES.

Ibeabuchi is so ridiculously overrated by some boxing fans - as this post demonstrates - it's pretty unbelievable. He had TWO fights against viable opponents, that's it. Wake up, that doesn't make somebody competitive with Holyfield, Lewis or anybody decent, really.

Seriously, based on his ACTUAL record, it is questionable whether Ibeabuchi would be competitive with Trevor Berbick, let alone Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson or Lennox Lewis!
