¡Kermit Cintron es solamente BASURA!

Supposedly he still makes WW easily.

 

Having seen Kermit fight numerous times over the years, it wasn't just his body language very off last night, it was very much like he was throwin' his punches at 1/2 power (until he was rocked, for some reason).

Strange performance from Kermit. It appeared he wasn't gonna mind had the fight been stopped at any point after mid way round 2 or some ****.

 

For what ever it may be worth, it's what the HBO broadcasters said on an occasion or two last night.....(he could still make WW decently).

Whether or not that's bull ****..... :conf

 

That's where he is offered fights at. Bigger guys that have the advantage against a 'name'. I'm watching Billy Lyle go through this now. He doesn't like to cut weight. Says it makes him weak. He walks around below the JMW limit and has to eat to make the minimum for MW. Most guys his size are fighting at WW. But, he beat Duddy at a catch weight when Burns was trying to get Duddy down to JMW and has been in the MW rankings ever since. Easy defence because he has no punch at JMW, let alone MW.

 

At his best he was a b level fighter, now he's crap

 

2 things

1. Cintron is not to blame here, he is just trying to make a living this is boxing politics which need to be addressed before the damn sport dies.

2. Even though I the don't blame Cintron, the TS is absolutely right about Kermit the frog, this guy was horribly overrated, and always got his ass kicked, Canelo is very protected, and whats happening with JCC JR is just plain disgusting.

this is true but the big names at 154 are far less skillful, he was never gonna get a fight with an elite at 147, kinda disapointed that Berto didn't take the opportunity to starch this clown, but on the other hand he didn't wanna help kermit get paid either.

Kinda off topic,but its kinda funny how Spanish slang such as "garbage"translates directly into English.I guess sometimes langugaues borrow from each other or something like that.Besa mi culo,al diablo,.....Garbage in English can also mean very bad or terrible,I didnt even know until this post that slang is the same in Espanol.Kind of neat.Now when I get back to the boxing gym I can tell todos los Mexicanos "Erik Morales es Solamente Busura!That will be interesting.........

 

Well, it would come across as awkward to say "solamente". That means "Cintron is only garbage." It works, but, it doesn't flow at all. It's better to say something like "Cintron no es sino basura"; Cintron ain't nothin but garbage. I've never heard kiss my ass directly translated either, but that probably depends on the country.

 

I agree with nearly everything you've written, especially that Cintron is finished as a name.

The one (minority, I realize) opinion I hold is that he was on his way to a KO over Williams when that bizarre spectacle came to its premature conclusion.
