Vargas vs Campas 2 exhibition make it happen!

 

That's awesome. I was watching some of his fights again fairly recently, and telling one of my friends about how much of an underrated badass he is with a career spanning 4 decades... It bothered me that his career didn't stretch 5 decades with his last fight prior to this one being in 2018.... Now he joins fairly unique company in that regard. I feel he was just making a point returning to the ring to achieve that feat - and point proven! Now he can truly enjoy his retirement.

 

Un Round Mas just did an interview with Campas, I think yesterday. The full interview should be posted in the next days.

Here's a clip where he talks about a few of his opponents including the Trinidad fight.

He said that Trinidad was not physically strong, but that he hit him hard as ****.

The man has aged extremely well.

He has a very good memory. He remembers many of his fights very well, even the early ones.

Also talks about fighting Trinidad, and why he wasn't 100% in his fight against Fernando Vargas.

When asked about the De La Hoya he seemed to change his expression, and in a regretful tone all thathe said twice was, "I could have done more."
