£40 For Fury vs Joshua?

I'll either stream this at mine or, if we're allowed to by then, watch it around a mates who's streaming it. Either way I won't feel an ounce of guilt about doing it and I never do, the prices to watch televised sports are ridiculous, the guys fighting on that card could be set up for life if they were all just paid from the Sponsorship money and, in Joshua and Fury's case, their sponsors themselves. If it was reasonably priced I'd consider it with a group of mates all going in but no way would I ever pay through the nose for this.

 

Impossible to cover costs????

They are going to make 100 million each how the **** can they not cover costs!! The world has gone mad

I’d be surprised if it’s not £50+. Pac Mayweather was years ago now and that was £80-100 over there wasn’t it? I know the yanks have always been dear but Hearn, Bellew, Froch etc can spin it in a similar sort of way to any camera they’re in front of... “this is the Greatest fight ever”

People will pay that price as they NEED to post that Instagram pic of their tele with the undercard on. Don’t underestimate this. Others who don’t care or had forgot about the fight will then feel peer pressured into buying it just so they can do the same.

Oh for the days of the £16 Froch Groves 2. I mention this as this was one of the first of that ‘golden era’ and ‘boom’ of British boxing. It was really not that long ago considering how much the price has inflated. If I remember rightly they put it up for Joshua Wlad but once they did they were never going to put it back down.

 

If this happens as social distancing is relaxed, say June or July, Everyone will gather at each other's houses, a long hot Summer day and night of beers, barbeques and the fight. A national coming out party.
We'll be ripped off alright but we'll be so happy we'll worry about it later. A rematch in November or early December won't sell unit one.
