Molitor is fighting Heriberto Ruiz at Casino Rama on June 26th. A pretty good opponent for his comeback fight, as Ruiz is coming off wins over Rey Bautista and Mauricio Martinez, and is rated 11 by the IBF and 15 by the WBA. Should be interesting to see how well he fights, coming back from such a devestating defeat.
im looking foward to it! always like Paul and i hope he will comeback impressivly! im not sur if his defeat against Celestino was only because Cabalero was too strong , i don't say Steeve could win it easely but i guess the fact he was fighting almost every 2 months doesn't help. You can be as effective and hungry then a Champion who only fight 3 times a years. Molitor look like an inteligent guy and i was really thrill to see him train with Larouche now i just hope hel get back on track! Molitor UD!
you probably wont get much infoon Orr in this thread. All but 1 of his pro fights have been in the US, so most CDNs havent seen much of him in the pros, though he has been televised on Versus before. He might be better known in Canada for his amateur career. He represented Canada in the 2000 olympics. He qualified by beating Jerson Ravelo, despit having a broken right thumb, which had swelled to 3 times its normal size. He trains out of Boston now, and is promoted by Cappiello promotions. and because he is of irish descent has developed a bit of a fanbase there. I think thats why he wants to fight Duddy, because it could be a big draw in the New England area with the Irish-American population. I think I've seen him fight 2 or 3 times and he looks decent. Good jab, good left hook, if I remember correctly. Not the quickest guy around, okay power. Not a bad test for Duddy. If they did fight, I think the most likely outcome would be Duddy on points. He wouldnt blow him out though. One of his fights (the one from the Duddy-Howe undercard) is on youtube if you wanna see him in action.
I always liked Paul Molitor too. He was huge in the 93 World Series run. This content is protected :yep
YEAH :happy I have four tickets and now, for the same price, i will be a lot closer to the ring. After Bute vs Zuniga, another great boxing evening.
He officially moved up to 160lbs. He can't make 154lbs anymore. Apparently he walks around at over 170lbs. :huh
