It's just been announced: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=18808&more=1 I wonder who the referee for the Andrade vs. Tsypko fight will be. I hope it's none other than Marlon Wright.
 Bute is now rank no 1 by Boxrec and 25 in there p4p list. even if they change there ranking everyweek , it a pleasure to see Bute ranked before Taylor and Kessler:good:bbb
I don't get it.Why would these fighters who are not locals,be fighting in Montreal?Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't that Ngoudou-Urango fight only draw about 5,000 fans, and presumably Ngoudou is a local. The Bell holds 20,000 for boxing doesn't it?:huh
Because the Montreal boxing scene is thriving, compared to the US scene. Bradley vs. Holt wouldn't attract more than 5,000 anywhere in the USA. In Montreal, it most probably will, and as a main event too. All the big American boxing fans from the East Coast will travel to Montreal anyway, as will all the big Bradley and Holt fans. Showtime are happy to travel to Montreal too. Add to that the local attraction that is Andrade vs. Tsypko, in light of the first Bute fight and the likely Bute fight in summer, and you've got your answer: it makes financial sense.
If you cannot afford good seats, you might as well buy the $50 for the atmosphere. You can watch the action on the big screen. Any Canadian fans thinking of attending this card rather than the Bute card?
I'M really not sure it will sell that big... MOst people here just follow the hype....The don't know other fighters from around the world. Yvon Michel said he wasn't sure it was a good idea...i agree with him. I would go...depends on the tickets price. Already going to Bute Zuniga so...budget may not allow...
Bute vs Zuniga is a borderline mismatch. don't forget that until recently Zuniga was gonna fight Sebastien Demers at Middleweight. Bradley vs Holt is a high quality fight and unification. And also Andrade is always action packed and Tsypko is a warrior too.
The Bute hype will attract a lot of people to the Andrade vs. Tsypko fight, I think. They'll want to see Bute's next opponent, if Bute beats Zuniga. I think at least 5000 tickets will be sold.
It sounds as if you're going to give the Bute vs. Zuniga card a miss. I would do the same, buy the $50 tickets for 4th of April card and save my money for good seats ($150) for the Bute vs. Andrade rematch.
yea I was at Bute vs Andrade and that was a great fight but Bute vs Zuniga is just a tune-up at this point. Zuniga is smaller and past his prime, Bute is bigger and just entering his prime.
