Do you think Norton is so far removed from guys like Douglas, Sanders and Quarry? You’re fine the 60s-70s Ali scene here just gets a religious following and there are a few folks around here who make it there personal and invested work to defend dead athletes at all costs be it there physique (seriously) moral compass or there hallowed “status” on a niche forum lol see the lengths people go to make Foreman and Chisora the same size recently? For one thing, stating that Norton lost all but one is disingenuous - unless you’re going to inexplicably claim that Norton didn’t beat Ali in the rubber and you should’ve been awarded the title.

Close but Norton beat Young clearly - and Norton was already 34 yo, past his best.

It was Norton’s rematch with Ali that could’ve gone either way - Norton could’ve easily seen a clean sweep against Muhammad - but the robbery in the 3rd fight proved exactly what Norton was up against throughout the series.

An even older Norton, 2 months shy of age 35, ran Holmes absolutely down to the wire.
