Oh God… this would require a bit of untangling, let’s leave you to figure it out, leave me out of this. You’ll come to or you’ll wind up on the heap with all the other Ring Mag enjoyer types. For a start old chap… his amateur record is verifiably very short, he won a gold but he didn’t fight many rounds was the point… as a pro, same deal, lots of bouts against Hobo’s to get him experience… he was a fast moved green talent who didn’t get to cut his teeth properly and learn to really fight.

It's just hater stuff, for sure. It's frightening how deeply certain boxers can affect certain people, sheer madness.

Mikes inability and disinclination to work in clinches went so far as Mike often looking to the ref to break him and the other fighter apart.

lol this thread is still going, this thread where basically people are assuming with no lifting numbers GF is stronger… then a guy who did strongman exhibitions, sure possibly, but he’s not stronger as a grappler which is the only type of strength displayed in boxing… so it should be open and shut right? Trained Wrestler vs non wrestler… NO! GF would see red, it’s very important to mention he was a mugger and a street fighter bro it’s exactly why my crack hesd neighbours would beat @cross_trainer at Judo, you wasted your youth kid, should’ve done meth to unlock the ultimate self defence system @BCS8 hey you live in a tough place, you’d probably outwrestle college kids and preppy Olympic prospects as long as it was “on da cobbles” me and you both brother.

Foreman was exceptionally strong, including relative to his own size. No argument there.

But seriously, was he Gorilla Monsoon strong?

I think not - though, I can’t believe Ali “fell” for the old wrist lock trick, only to then have himself easily lifted up, aeroplaned and, finally, ingloriously dumped: -
