    To his credit, Juárez did actually call Manny out in early 2006 (prior to Barrera I), and the call-out did hold SOME water, as Juárez defeating Raheem, and Raheem defeating Morales, and Morales defeating Pacquiao were all then fairly recent events within a year or two.

    It would've just been a very bad mismatch stylistically, though, and could've ended up the one time Rocky was dominated. (worse than by Márquez, that is)

    More than the handspeed, Pacquiao's side to side and in and out footspeed would have left Rocky paralyzed like a deer in headlights.

    I don't care how fundamentally sound you are, a fighter of Rocky Juarez' pace and speed level would just get overwhelmed by physical dynamo's like Pacquiao.

    He'd be screwed for all the same reasons Barrera was, except it would be worse for him.

    I was actually thinking that! Juárez would be too tough for his own good and would take a LOT of zaps before it was stopped.

    Roughly speaking, Juárez is like a physically smaller and orthodox but better version of Dangerous Díaz.

    Juárez vs. Salido or Jandaeng could've made for terrific high-octane runners-up battles in that loaded FW era. Outside the elite four there were so many other very good fighters around, chasing after the 4 by some distance but still capable of competing in most eras. The division was stacked.

    Agreed, Rocky was better than David Diaz. Better rounded overall and more polished boxistically.

    Morales continues to dominate epoch 1. Marquez dominates epoch 3.

    About that second epoch though. It was during that time that Morales beat Pacquiao at 130 pounds. People want to call Marquez a Pacquiao specialist. That's really why he's called an ATG. Only reason to be honest that he's ATG is the Pacquiao fights. Take them away and he's not even close to ATG status.

    Seems kind of strange that Morales outdid the Pacquiao specialist at 130 pounds.

    If Morales did what Marquez does best even better than Marquez himself doesn't that say something?

    True, he's somewhat of an underachiever and he makes terrible decisions. But when it comes to Pacquiao he is a beast. He even went as far as hiring the most infamous dope dealer in USA sports to beat Pacman.

    If one truly thinks that all Marquez accomplished in his career is Pacquiao, then that's to bad for you. You'v missed out on a true phemomonon. One of the very best combination punchers in the history of the sport.

    Marquez is an ATG even without KTFO6!

    KTFO6 is just icing on the cake of Justice! :yep

    Yea, but as has been discussed that's all pac****s though. Has nothing to do with Morales convincingly defeating Pacquiao.

    Well, there is probably some measure of that going on tbh but I think overall the given epochal trends reflect mass opinion even among those without agendas.
