I pay for a streaming service here in New Zealand which most people really just bought to watch cricket…extremely randomly this card was on it, and as an added bonus the coverage never dropped out :D

If his first title defense isn't either Romanov or a rematch with Rozicki, then screw Rivas... I'm off the Kaboom bandwagon for good if he does literally anything else.

Hm, that one card's a little dodgy. 116-111, factoring the point deduction from Rivas, means that judge saw it 9-3 for him. That's definitely too wide, but the other two fall just within the "okay" range. (and of course my score, 114-113, is perfect :D)

Disparity in weight was the big difference. Rozicki couldn't hurt Rivas.

Oh well, it was a very fun fight to watch. I love it when fights exceed expectations.

But Oscar Rivas will likely disappear out of the Ring top 10.

Arum gave him a novice opponent in the easiest division in boxing to win a belt in, and it couldn't have been more difficult.

Boxing is always full of surprises.

That judge had it 8-4 (normally 116-112) but there was the knockdown, so 116-111.

7-5 is probably right. I wasn't scoring. Rivas seemed to have magnets in his gloves. He landed flush all night. Then he'd collapse into clinches like he couldn't get his breath. It was a weird performance. But I thought he won.

    And STILL Canadian Heavyweight Champion.

So that chaotic (and only partly televised) round twelve featured both an official knockdown (of Rozicki) and point deduction (from Rivas)? So it was a 9-8 round for Rivas, then?

So that makes my final card 114-112.
