If he doesn't get KTFO in round 2, my hat's off to Rozicki. This is quite the hill ahead for him to climb.

I don't know. Look at the belt Fury has compared to this.

Interesting tidbit of trivia from the commentator there - last time a boxer from Cape Breton challenged for a world title was Jack Munroe, who got stopped by Jeffries for the heavyweight belt 117 years ago.

@lobk is right. Not the championship plate itself, but the strap. This one is longer and skinner...almost comically so.

False. Roddy Macdonald was from New Waterford, and he faced Marvin Camel for the inaugural IBF cruiserweight title.

    Round 2

Rozicki moves in and stays in Rivas' chest, grinding in tight and slicing away on the forehead of Rivas with inclining straight combinations from point-blank. Rivas is swaying backward or sideways in the pocket and loading up on hooks, banging into the chin and upper temples of Rozicki, stunning him frequently, but unable to drop him again like in the 1st.

    10-9 Rivas

    20-18 Rivas

Rozicki coming in at 203 (and having previously weighed in for a number of fights in the 180s or 190ish) means he’s an undersized cruiser if anything. A function of the awkward gap between 175 and 200.

Of course I don’t know what Rivas currently weighs, but there’s no reason why he wouldn’t be cutting and then rehydrating back up to his usual 235-240 - a pretty inconsequential weight cut to 222 for the modern boxer.

Itellyouwhut... Rozicki not looking bad tonight, considering what a joke opponent many considered him to be. Showing gumption, durability and skill. Losing all three rounds, but that's just down to Rivas being so accurate, powerful, experienced, and poised...but take away the moments where Rozicki gets hurt and they're not far off from being evenly matched.

Fight has been both guys with forehead press against each other taking turns punching.
