Actually, your comment was pretty dumb. Which American are you talking about?

    Neither was from the U.S.

Tim Bradley just brings up the Provodnikov fight, and leaves out the fact that EVERYONE thought he lost that fight.

I'm making the point, if that was Shakur Stevenson tonight doing that against Valdez, he probably wins the fight and gets fairer treatment from the commentators.

Outside of Canelo, I have never seen everyone making excuses and covering for a fighter like this.

It's not even a conspiracy theory. It's corruption at the highest level, from the WBC, ESPN, the ref, to the judges. Everyone is trying to protect Valdez to secure a potential cash cow.

He looked like he was nearly gonna take another point in the last round. Why is there not more coverage and conversation about that ridiculous point deduction?

The point is one guy tonight was a Bob Arum fighter on a Bob Arum card, on a network with a contract with Bob Arum, and Bob Arum obviously got the WBC org to allow to the Mexican champion to retain his title even though he failed his PED tests, and all the announcers are basically Top Rank announcers and do profiles on Top Rank boxers, and cheer for Top Rank boxers ...

They do the same thing for Tyson Fury.

    The "American" comment was stupid.

They even showed a replay of one of those "ripping body shots" getting elbow blocked and Tim is all. "I...it partially landed!"

I'm pretty sure Robson has been a top rank fighter since the beginning of his pro career. You'll understand me when you've watched more boxing.

I was going to say how can the WBC ever strip a fighter for testing positive for PEDS, but we watched a ref take a point away from Robson for tapping Valdez on the back of the head once, even though Valdez landed MORE SHOTS TO Robson's back than he did the front ... and nobody bats an eye.

And the ESPN announcers are still blaming Robson. For what, I have no idea. He landed twice as many shots, threw twice as many, controlled nearly the whole fight and completely busted Valdez's head apart.

About as complete a robbery as they come ... from the org, to the promoter, to the venue, the judge, the officials, to the announcers, everything.

Yeah you can tell which side the ref is batting for sometimes by their body language.

I actually missed the point deduction at the time and I honestly couldn't believe that was what he deducted the point for when I saw the reply at the end of the round. It looked like he playfully tapped the back of head. It wasn't even a punch.

They were praising Valdez for his pressure. They were so desperate to change public perception that Valpedz was struggling throughout the fight.

I remember when Hot Rod got stiffed by the ref and judges against Marcus Browne. They double teamed him but Conceição just got stiffed by the ref, the judges, the commission and the WBC.

It was playfull tapping. And he was never warned before that.

And it came after Valdez punched him square in the back for about the 30th time.

And then Valdez got two WARNINGS after that for rabbit punching, but no points deducted.

    Just ridiculous.
