    In his statement, he apologized for :

    1) not to score 10-10 in 2 rounds I felt there was not a clear winner.
    2) scoring those to the champion giving him the benefit in the close actions.

    This is admirable for a judge to apologize for his score, but the irony is that #2 is the same argument that GGG fans made for why they said GGG deserved to beat Canelo in the first fight, because GGG was the champ and GGG was pressing the action. Valdez, like GGG, was the champ and pressing the action. Conceicao was the challenger who didn't "take the fight to the Champ".

    The same people criticizing the judge who scored it 117-110 for Valdez are the same people who argued GGG beat Canelo the first time for the same reasons the judge is now apologizing for in regards to Valdez. We've come full circle now haven't we. I hope this irony isn't lost on anyone.
