The TR commentary was WAY too harsh on Valdez. He had some hiccups, but knocked Velez down three times and ultimately got the stoppage.

 

Juan Manuel Marquez and Margarito and Canelo - none of them consider Oscar De La Hoya a Mexican. All are well quoted on that already. Nobody in Mexico considers DLH as one of their own and ever embraced him in the pantheon of Mexican greats.

Valdez can buy whatever houses he wants in Mexico. He wasn't raised in both countries. He was raised in America.

When Valdez fights Berchelt you'll see very clearly who Mexico embraces.

 

He was born in East Los Angeles, California.

 

DLH is born in East LA and nobody in Mexico embraces him as their own. Nobody and certainly not Juan Manuel Marquez who ripped Juan Baby Bull Diaz to shreds as a fake Mexican.

Julio Cesar Chavez and Margarito were merciless in addressing Oscar's fake Mexican claims.

Again, Berchelt is going to have the backing of Mexico...Oscar Valdez will have the 2nd/3rd generation Taco Bell Mexicans here in America. The fake marketing and mariachi music is so tired. Be who you are and I'd be happy to support him.
