Canadian domestic scene is pretty fun.... If it's anything involving Dillon Carman, Bahoeli or Olubowale that is. Hell, even 50+ Ruddocks comeback was amusing while it lasted. Although with the Hague tragedy still fresh is most memories idk if the local promoters will be apprehensive to book some of these vulnerable guys against one another.
Honestly I would be so embarrassed if that happened, and with Rivas' eye issues and inactivity I'm starting to get a liiiiiittle nervous. Drummond is a strong mf'er if nothing else. If he lands a lucky punch that Rivas literally doesn't see coming...whoo boy. After years of hyping this guy and saying he could be a HW elite if given the chance I'd have to go full ostrich.
With how easy Rivas dispatched Abell... I'd say he's still kept the hope alive, especially with the run the Minnesotan has been on lately. Pretty much in fringe contender territory himself at this point.
Hope you're right, would be mortified if the hype train of my own making was brought to a screeching crashing halt by 42 year old Carl Davis freaking Drumond of all people.
This would be sort-of like when Farmboxer was the only one to pick Ishida against Kirkland in the site poll....
A) Louis gave him a hard time and tested his stamina but Rivas still beat him (close but) clearly and landed cleaner throughout. B) Louis also has wins over Carman, Bahoeli, and Bence (all players in the domestic HW scene). For being 8-5 he's surprisingly decent and probably a better opponent than 42 year old Drumond.
I guess I'll be the only one from this forum that will be going to this fight in person. I got my ticket to see this fight live at the Casino de Montreal.
Is this going to be broadcasted? I could use a boxing fix tonight.... Or is this one of those fights that we'll just have hope that someone in the crowd records and uploads to YT?
TBA Sports, pretty sure they live stream programming from their site but I can't find what time it will be.
