Akhmetkhanov on the hunt with right jab coming forward. Osipov elusive, batting down the jabs of the southpaw on his left palm but not making him pay for carrying the rear hand low.

10-9 Osipov, on the strength of basically a single straight counter right hand, his only spiteful blow in two rounds. Despite having five inches over his opponent, Osipov is the narrower-framed man and fighting like it (shy & retiring), having campaigned mostly at 160lbs and previously the country's MW champion.

 

Close third - Osipov might have shaded it, but moot point as he retires on his stool apparently with a wrist injury.

Akhmetkhanov declared the winner - incidentally his second consecutive fluke injury TKO3 victory, with Alexandr Zhuravskiy unable to continue against him last December. Zhuravskiy also happened to be getting the better of the action then. What the heck are the odds?!

Despite his unassuming 12-7-2 record, the Armenian - who saunters out to Gonna Fly Now (Theme From Rocky) and did last ten full rounds with Khariton Agrba - is probably the stiffest test for Khuseyn Baysangurov on the comeback trail since he let his zero slip versus Amirkhanyan in 2018.
