Матч! Боец: Khuseyn Uvaysovich Baysangurov vs. Manuk Nairievich Dilanyan RBR

Interestingly, no Ukrainian colors repped on any of Baysangurov's ring gear despite him basing himself in Kyiv the last few years. Guess that would've gone over a tad awkwardly in Moscow at present, all things considered.

 

Round 1

Baysangurov trotting after Dilanyan, stalking, jabbing into the mush on an incline. Hard right hand downstairs and Baysangurov puts him down! Up comes Dilanyan, tossing line drive rights buzzing the hairline of Baysangurov and plugging in his own rights on the body after unfurling a somewhat telegraphed jab. Baysangurov works his way in and uncorks a double uppercut on the underside of the chin, and Dilanyan is down again! He spoils enough to be saved by the bell.

Dilanyan has been stopped thrice - one time via injury and the other two in late rounds (8 & 9).

 

Round 2

Baysangurov jab-feints low, driving Dilanyan into the ropes, then begins working uppercuts, one after the other, prying loose some daylight between Dilanyan's arms and then planting a couple of flush ones on the gob. Down goes Dilanyan for the third time in about two minutes' worth of action! The referee waves it off as Dilanyan is walking toward Baysangurov after beating the count.

Good performance by Khuseyn, this. In the past I've generally considered him the lesser brother (and black sheep of the family if you include cousin Zaurbek) but he does possess that game-changing pop that Khasan lacks.

 

...Grigory "Pretty Boy" Drozd documentary? That would definitely be interesting, if I spoke the language.
