Huh, looks completely different in his Boxrec pic. His face here is a lot more leaned out (probably from making weight) and the 'do and facial hair add to it.

Well, was just about to say that Osipov has shown us he can do a bit of everything so far (can counter-punch or come forward effectively and bust out slick Matrix moves) and the only thing left after a couple of rounds was to show if he could crack enough to get rid of an overmatched opponent. He does just that, getting Tararyshkin into the ropes with a sustained shoeshine and then belting him with a diaphragm shot that doubles him over and prompts the ref's intervention.

I guess this wraps up the Боец undercard coverage, as they're showing a package of quick highlights of every bout so far. That means a 75 minute intermission until the main card on Матч TV.

Yeah, now Боец is showing a Dmitry Bivol vs. Felix Valera replay from 2016.

edit: weird to see Bivol entering as the challenger versus such a mook in a "world title" match...but technically, Mangú was the interim champ heading in.

Матч is currently showing the men's hockey gold medal game of the last Winter Olympics - Russia vs. Germany in 2018. After this is live boxing, exactly one hour from now.

I keep missing these! It sounds like there is something left to see?

Yeah man, whole main card. You only missed squash matches (although one plucky underdog probably deserved to get the nod)

Mikhail is the older and bigger (and more decorated amateur) of the Belarusian boxing brothers, and on paper the puncher of the family. He is a super middleweight southpaw currently a perfect 5-0 (5); his younger sibling further up the bill, Yauheni, campaigns at 140lbs and fights orthodox and has fewer professional stoppages as well as much lower rate of RSC's in the amateurs (3 vs. 11%).

Hugo fighting mikhail as if mikhail were orthodox. Mikhail fighting properly. Hugo receiving a beating.

10-9 Dauhaliavets, beating "El Gringo" silly, knocking the fair-haired Argentinian into the ropes several times with southpaw 1-2s. Spaghetti legs on at least three distinct occasions for Exner, but he never goes all the way down. Bordering on a 10-8.

Exner down twice and bleeding from the nose and eyebrow in the second. The bell rings and the ref makes a judgment call - he could have let Exner be saved by it, but the second knockdown was pretty fresh and he still looked woozy.

    KO2!!

You cant stop a southpaw like this one with a shy jab. You need to receive him his your strong right hand, occupying the space with your hand so that his left hand cannot be used comfortably. Trying to stop a strong relentless southpaw with a shy jab is suicidal.

Just noticed the back of Mikhail's trunks read "M. Dolgolovets" - which is another way of transliterating his surname from Cyrillic to Latin alphabet.
