I don't think it's an unreasonable statement and I definitely think he could get a decision over 147lbs Floyd. For Floyd it was always going to take a blend, a world-class jab that was world-class because of the timing and variety, the ability to show him a lot of different things, including opposite hands, which is nice. Then you need a quilted offence, depth, provided in the main by a detailed read of punching openings left by the opponent's system and that's the really difficult part. You could get something done with volume, but if you wanted to really really put him in a difficult place it had to be because you understood his positioning and movement at a fundamental level. Crawford is built for that. Finally, he is hurtfully enough as a puncher, clearly, to make Floyd uncomfortable.

But it was defence that really impressed me last night. Bud was able to block and counter with the same hand against a big, punching opponent like it was nothing at all, like it was routine, and on the two occasions he got crowded/one occasion he was a little disorganised he was riffing on defence like a genius, very pretty.

Of course, Floyd would bury Spence alive and levels. I'm not saying I would bet on Floyd to lose because I absolutely wouldn't. But Crawford would be the best fighter Floyd had met (versions) and could defo get it done.

Very interesting fight and Mayweathers toughest at 147lbs I reckon.

Easy work as Floyd would say, but for Bud that is.

I think Floyd's legacy fades with every Geordie Shore nobody he fiights. But I do not think anyone from the current era, could get near him.

I think Crawford runs him very close.

There is a weird fan aura around Floyd that nobody after him can possibly be better than him. I think him and Crawford is a 50/50.

Crawford’s a top fighter no doubt about it he looked great last night. But look at his last ten opponents, those guys made him undisputed in two weight classes. Some might say it’s the luckiest run in history or he’s in a weak era.

I’m not hating on him I like him but there’s no way he beats any version of mayweather. They are worlds apart.

I don't see a fight on Floyd's record that Crawford would lose

    As Roy Jones once said...

    Y'all Must've forgot.

Bud would give him a hell of a fight but the horse I'd be backing is named Floyd.

Speed would be one of the big differences imo and Crawford isn't slow.

We need to see how the Spence win ages as I personally think he's done at the top level, Porter pushed Crawford close too.

Prime for prime, you'd have to back Mayweather. I know he get's a lot of hate but people don't consider his early career either before he started getting hand problems, he was very very good offensively.

Very plausible he lost more than once in during his career as it is. People forget about that.

I think he lost the first Judah fight but I thought he clearly won against Maidana the first time and OLDH.

Were there any others, i can't remember?
