We are all allowed our opinions. I did think Maidana 1 was close though. I honestly think Khan would have given trouble for the first few rounds before getting picked apart from about the 6th/7th rounds. Similar to Judah, who also had quick hands.
I agree, khan will give anyone trouble until they adjust to him or he makes a mistake which he always does after a few rounds. Judah was brilliant in his prime, insanely fast.
I've never fully watched 1st Castillo fight so I can't comment. By all accounts it was very contentious. I watched 1st Maidana fight. He fought well but I didn't give him many rounds. Floyd landed much better blows. Only argument against Mayweather was if he didn't throw enough.
Just didn’t have the engine did he? I’m surprised he went rounds with Spinks and to a lesser extent Cotto (as he was older) when you think about how crap his stamina was.
Same. The Judah fight is a blur now. I want to watch all them again but I remember favouring De La Hoya and Maidana. A knowledgable lad I know said Castillo defo beat him as do so many others but I have never seen that fight. Watching the highlights you can defo see where they’re coming from but I don’t like to judge from just highlights although I watched the Loma highlights recently and that looks like a stone wall robbery!
Ah yeah i meant Castillo and not Judah! He only fought Judah once. The Loma haney fight does look like a robbery in highlight form but it wasn't in reality
Really? He was landing clean combo after clean combo in every round it seemed. Nothing from Haney it seemed. Must have been Ukrainian highlights.
Loma gave away too many rounds. The more eye catching stuff certainly came from Loma but boxing is scored on a round by round basis as we all know. Did Loma win more rounds? It was close.
That’s what happens when you fight 2 weights out of your natural weight class and your body has been failing you for the last few years. Haney is nothing special, a weight bully. He’ll come a cropper soon enough.
