I don't think this will be true. The fight may have to be on DAZN but I don't think every fighter needs to be an DAZN fighter.

 

Depending on how much DAZN will be willing to pay his opponents after the outlay and his history of failed drug tests and controversial scorecards people might not even want to.

At the moment people want the payday so put up with Canelo's diva BS but if you're paying them a pittance then you might not find them so willing to do business with him under his current terms.

 

I know but I still have doubts. I'm not convinced of GGG doesn't sign to DAZN that fight can't happen.

DAZN have great leverage to convince fighters to sign up but if the public are calling for certain fights I'm not sure they can ignore demand.

 

This makes no sense. DAZN will fail if this is true.

Which is fair, they have just lumped out a reported minimum $365 million.

Personally I wouldn't be too keen on letting another platform show a Canelo fight if I had just lumped out that sort of money.

Eddie's getting a little too confident at this point. Arum, Haymon and Hearn should be attempting to make big money fights for their guys irrespective of what "street" they're on. I'm sick and tired of watching boxers only fight other boxers from their promotional company- it just limits how many good fights can be made.

He clearly says if you want to fight Joshua or Canelo then you need to be a DAZN fighter. Not "you need to have the fight on DAZN".

 

I think saying you won't get a fight unless you are a DAZN fighter is stupid, has to be exclusively on their network? Fine.

It's in that video, the promising thing was him saying he wants to make the champions fight each other, as we all would get more quality fights/trilogies.

 

This is why boxing is svcking plus on top of that you still have to wait several years to watch a fight everyone wants to see because one boxer is playing the waiting game for years till the other opponent loses or gets old.
