Fury said this about Ortiz during the Joe Rogan podcast. He didn’t name his sources but he said that’s the truth and doctors wanted to cancel the Wilder-Ortiz fight but he was desperate about the payday.

Interesting that Wilder went death and life against a 45 year old fighter who medically wasn’t alright at all.

This is not a secret, it was reported right after the fight.

A real problem for Wilder fans this one, Fury only speaks truth apparently, he never tells lies, exaggerates or spins.

All the rubbish he said about Joshua was FACTS according to Wilder fanboys.

Now Fury has just taken a huge leak, possibly a huge stinky dump over Wilders "best win", Fury has just said what Joshua fans were saying about Ortiz BEFORE he fought Wilder.

It isn't going unnoticed that Wilder fans have gone very very quiet.

    Exactly, I agree.

And it's why people keep saying Wilder Vs Fury isn't the biggest fight out there, it may well struggle to do big numbers and neither fighter is all that.

It is just a real shame some boxing fans just can't be honest.

it isn't doing big numbers. most Americans have never heard of either guy, much less care enough to pay anything to watch them.

Yeah I know, apparently they have closed off some sections of the arena, so it won't be a full capacity anyway.

I've heard there are still around 25-30% of tickets available (maybe more), if you go online you can still buy tickets and you can buy them from secondary sellers also.

What some people haven't factored in is ticket touts have snapped up a lot of tickets, many of the tickets bought have been bought in blocks.

Also they have had a few press events, interviews and the promotion has been goon get fairly hard they are still not shifting those tickets.

I know Wilder/Fury fans will now point to the PPV and say that is the only number that counts but they were very loud and proud when it sold $1 million dollars worth of tickets (poor by AJ standards)

The closer this is getting, the more I'm starting to think this could be one of the biggest flops for a long time.

People in the UK are just not speaking about this fight, they do not seem to give a toss, I didn't believe this would be big but if I'm honest I expected it to do a lot better than this at this point.

I dont know why they did the fight in LA, they should have gone for new York and played up the Irish angle. New York is also easily accessible from the uk where LA is a ****ing oddesy to get to.

    100% agree.

It might have been even better to have done it in the UK, because over here we turn out in huge numbers for events, also it may well have put pressure on Joshua and Hearn if Wilder came over here, smashed Fury to pieces and gained a few fans.

Touché! I've also been thinking about it.

Would be an epic ringwalk indeed!
