Fury should hire Nichols to 'carry' the lineal belt into the ring. That would shatter what's left of Wilder's confidence.

All of this wilder fury thing has been done to try match Joshua numbers. They are trying to prove some sort of point to mock hearn and Joshua but it isn't going to work they can't compete with that and I wouldn't expect it to and I wouldn't laugh when it didn't but because they have given out so many twisted truths and fake news in regards to the magnitude of the fight and the fighters I am going to laugh.

We already know, we knew before the wilder fight. That's one of the reasons nobody went so crazy about the win, that and his age and the fact he's never actually achieved anything significant at heavy.

Most UK fight fand know Fury is not in tip top shape, to long off, to few fights non of them decent.I don't care about Wilder either way but if he can't walk through Fury in this state he is a. Bum.He should be able to get Fury outta there by 5 rounds.
    Why won't be face Whyte?

Fury like Wilder is a habitual liar.

However this was reported at the beginning of the Showtime broadcast as the cameras were on Ortiz backstage when they said the fight almost didn't happen for the reasons Fury is stating, besides needing money for his daughter which is likely bc the Showtime crew reported it themselves about him.being pulled.

The Wilder fan girls just hate reconfirmed facts when it's a guy they RIDE with now...lol

That would definitely be a big disappointment if it sold less than 200K in the US. But hopefully the UK PPV sales help bolster the success of this fight.

But I'm beginning to think this fight might very well bomb, 5 weeks out and there are still sections at the Staples that are still completely untouched. Fury is trying his hardest to sell this fight but the interest simply might not be there in the US.

How does this compare to Floyd vs. McGregor (Which Wilder and Fury are clearly trying to mimic with the media tour). How sold out was the venue, how was the media buzz 5 weeks out from fight night?

I'm asking because I was predicting Floyd vs. McGregor to be a complete failure financially and I was very wrong. Now I am more cautious in calling Wilder vs. Fury to bomb even though my gut feeling says it will.

Floyd v McGregorn ever sold out. They had about 4 thousand unsold tickets but that was simply down to the ridiculous prices. The gate still did a crazy number though.

Obviously the media buzz for Floyd v McGregor was off the charts compared to this fight.

Yeah the media buzz for Mayweather/McGregor was insane for what was a freak show circus act of a fight, it clearly tapped into the mainstream in a way Wilder/Fury has failed to do.

And yes the pricing for Mayweather/McGregor was far more than for this fight. Cheapest Mayweather/McGregor tickets were $500 while it's only $205 for this fight and the most expensive tickets were 7 times as much as the floor seats for this fight. Mayweather/McGregor could of been half empty and still done a far larger gate than this fight.
