‼️ Roy Jones Jr, 54, has now confirmed that he's in talks to fight Tommy Fury

I'm no Tommy Fury fan but for a guy who can barely box he is using boxing very cleverly to make easy money and plenty of it. He won't see a cent from me though.

Smart of course but as a boxing fan it pisses me off to see millions of views for jake paul compared to bud vs Spence or youtubers beating up old legends for an easy buck. Roy surprisingly still seems to have all of his faculties so i dont know why he keeps on gambling like this.

Then again if it truly is his passion and the one thing he loves to do then who am i to tell him not to do it? Theres alot of people doing even more dangerous things for alot less money.

I personally dont watch him anymore because hes not the same fighter since Tarver wiped out his chin in 04 and hasnt been anything resembling the old RJ since his knees/legs went a couple years after that.

 

If it's an exhibition does that make it easier to sanction? How can a fight with a 30 year age disparity be allowed? Will they hold it on an Indian reservation?

LOL.. Roy should stay away from boxing in the ring, it would be a shame to see him take another L this time to a part time boxer, even if it's not a sanctioned fight. Roy should just train fighters and try to make a legacy for himself as a trainer, who knows maybe he will develop a world champion at some point.

 

Can’t really blame fury. He has limited ability and using his other fame to make big money in the ring he would have no chance making any other way
