    Both men are in peak physical condition. Pac's training camps are about stamina and packing on the pounds. Thurman's training camps involve weight cutting, but he's young enough to keep fighting at 147 for a little while.

    The extra heft is age. Not choosing. When he came in 147 vs Bradley I and Marquez IV it wasn’t even a choice, just a product of ignoring his S&C(although they’ll tell you they wanted to use weight against Marquez). Since then, he’s done well to take S&C more seriously, but as he’s aged he’s gotten gradually softer and carrying that weight in fights he really didn’t perform to the best of his abilities. At this stage though, i think it is to his best abilities, but that’s just the stage he’s at.

    I stand corrected. For some reason I thought he’d come in around 144 for the matthysee and broner fights but I’ve just checked and he clocked in at 146 for both of those too.

    Another angle that really shows the size difference. Thurman is much wider. I think Thurman's gonna be 165 tomorrow.
