Depends what version of Duran, if Loma fights the version that beat Buchanan... Loma destroys Duran with ease.
If it is the version that beat Esteban De Jesus in their 2nd fight, it would be a close fight, Loma and Duran were similar size, Lomachenko has a great chin and could outbox Duran without problems, the question is if Loma would have a gameplan for Durans come forward stlye, his ability to cut off the ring was something to admire and his ruthless stlye.

Lomachenko is always in shape, he doesn't get fat between fights. He has also fought the best amateurs in the world before his pro career and since then has fought excellent pro competition. His skills are top notch and so is his conditioning. He has seen and dealt with every type of fighter from all over the world. His only problem is that it will be extremely difficult for him as a smaller fighter to move up in weight now with the day before weigh in. He was much smaller than Linares (heard he was 152 at fight time?) who made 135 the day before. If Linares was 152 in the ring, he was bigger in the ring than most Welters in the days of the same day weigh in.

Duran was 135 with a same day weigh in, he wasn't a big person. If he had problems making weight it was because he drank and ate too much between fights and didn't train. He too had top notch skills but he was known to balloon up in weight between fights and his lifestyle affected his conditioning.

Both of them were highly skilled boxers, but Lomachenko has the advantage of coming along after Duran. Lomachenko could watch video and learn from him. If I was betting on this fight, I'd go with the fighter who lived cleaner, trained better, and had the advantage of learning from more fighters who came before him. That would be Lomachenko.

Duran was a destroyer at the lighter weights and Loma is only 12 fights in.

In Classic everybody said Duran destroys Loma ... I don't think its that clear either. At this point you have to favour Duran, but again, only 12 fights that Loma has had. Let's see a bit more before we start comparing him to la creme de la creme of history.
