In what way is Duran wrong for Loma?

The animalistic Duran that fought Buchanan is 100% worse for Loma than the more polished version that beat DeJesus. Needs to be the same ref from the Buchanan fight though lol.

    It’s not an unreasonable fight.

if its both at their peak, duran mauls him. would have absolutely no respect for loma inside or outside the ring and there would be very little loma could do about it.

You aren't bursting any bubble. It's just an example of how Loma gets the golden spoon treatment. Those fights were listed as pro fights on many boxing sites until Arum pulled some strings. Those fights didn't fit the criteria for amateur fights at the time.

The power differential here is real. I kind of think Duran might just bum rush him and take him out in 1. Didn't Duran have like 22 first round knockouts at lightweight?

If Leonard can make Duran quit, so can Loma!
If Salido can beat Loma, so can Duran!
For me, it all depends on what side of the bed I woke up on. Both tremendous fighters. Personally, I can't call it.

Lol.. please. Leonard was a big WW who eventually went up to LHW. Also Leonard is on a different level than Loma. Don't ever compare Salido and Leonard. If Salido can beat Loma of course Duran can though.

This. He can't beat Salido, but he is going to beat Duran. Loma gets mauled by Duran.

Leonard made Duran quit at welter, after losing to Duran at welter. Duran wasn't quitting vs anyone at 135. He would have made Lomachenko his *****. 135 was his best weight class.

Loma would be a mere stain on the canvas post fight.

If Duran fought Siri in just his second pro fight, Siri would take Duran into deep waters and drown him.

Duran is probably the best fighter that we have extensive footage of in his prime. We're talking about probably the best fighter of the last 60 years.

Loma has great skill, but Duran at his peak is a tall order. He's ridiculously skilled and aggressive and comes packing iron in his chin.

    Duran by KO.

Well even for a two time Olympic gold medalist it is absolutely, completely and utterly ridiculous to think a fighter in his 2nd pro fight is a fighter in his prime. Loma is prime now. His prime started during the last 5 fights or so. With that said Duran destroys the best version of Loma.

Duran was a 17 year old bantamweight in his second pro fight.
