It describes Canleo. I said many positive things. The only think I left out is the PED abuse. TV Azteca, a Mexican station had Golovkin as the winner. So did 79% of the press cards, just so you know.

A lot of professional fighters including living legends had Canelo as the winner.

You keep your press, I'll stick with boxers and boxing legends.

Not anymore. I get it. I also predict that Canelo fans will need to inflate GGG in time, as he's the best fighter he fought.

I prefer these score cards. I suggest you look at them.

Here are all the cards from people covering or in boxing.

116 = Felt Golovkin won ( Including TV Azteca )
    021 = Draw ( Including ESPN Mexico )
009 = Felt Canelo won [includes 2 Golden Boy promoters]

116/146 = 79% had GGG winning the fight.
    021/146 = 15% had a draw.
009/146 = 06% had Canelo winning the fight.

    1. Says he’s not angry
    2. Posts stats for 500th time that include media who cancelled hotel reservations in May and excludes xx number of pro boxers who scored the fight for Canelo.

How does that mean he's angry? We both know it doesn't. But little kids sure LOVE to believe they get strangers angry on the internet for some reason.

destroyed? the vast majority of people don't think he won either fight and only moronic gingerboys and adelaide byrd think he dominated/destroyed him in one.

however, i do appreciate Canelo coming forward in the second fight and giving Golovkin all he could handle. it was a phenomenal performance, but with a few caveats. 1. he's a drug cheat. 2. he's eight years younger. 3. he trained to fight that way knowing all the while Golovkin was expecting/trained for something else. 4. he could've fought Golovkin a lot sooner instead of that 155lb nonsense against Amir Khan's and other chumps. 5. i'm sure i'm forgetting some things.

we can say the 36 yr old Golovkin vs 28 yr old Canelo is about as tightly matched an elite fight as you can get though. despite all the nonsense i wouldn't mind seeing them a 3rd time, but i doubt golden puke will do it now that they have the belts.

Okay, your response to the statement that more than two thirds of press, fans, fighters, trainers, etc...scored the fight for Golovkin was "70% of people are unaware of how to score a fight".

You then posted "I'm one of those guys who thinks 7-5 can be argued for each fighter and 6-6 is obviously a fair outcome"

Upon which my question was "Which is it? Either you claim not picking the guy you did, immediately proves ydksab or it was genuinely close and could have gone either way (like you say there)"

    Oh..

The fight was close with round by round. I can see why people from the press and fans would score it for the fighter that lands more punches. Based on that I won't argue much against people who scored it for GGG unless they are interested in challenging my position that Canelo won both fights.

Using the actual 10 point must scoring system, it is very easy to score both fights for Canelo. Using the Amateur scoring system (which is what most people mistakenly use) then GGG has some kind of a case for winning both fights.

The reason so many fighters scored it for Canelo is because he clearly won Ring Generalship, Effective Aggressiveness, Clean punching, and Defense.
The reason so many fans and the press scored it for GGG is because he landed more jabs.

Fair enough. Although those jabs were hard as opposed to the typical pitter patter punches and I don't remember Golovkin getting trapped anywhere near any ropes.

I can understand how the change of momentum from Golovkin going forward in the first fight and being more on the backfoot in the second, might sway opinions towards Canelo in the second fight.

But it doesn't change my opinion that what counted as plusses for Canelo in the first fight to earn a draw, somehow was viewed as minuses for Golovkin to lose in the second. Just cause a fighter fights one way for 39 fights, and has to adapt in his 40th, doesnt mean the fight should be viewed solely from that angle.

I had Golovkin losing the first few, but he was never in any real trouble and him being the older guy taking the later rounds... I think it was either a draw or a win for GGG
