He wouldn't fight the "Middleweight" for loads of cash in his back yard, and a case full of belts, with no chance of getting KOd There is no way he takes a fight versus Big Bang, who stands a chance of KOing anyone he fights. Maybe he will fight little Ruiz, but he'd better fight a WBC ranked fighter before he is stripped. I will stand proudly corrected and surprised if I am wrong however!
Well Joyce has activated his rematch clause so he'd need to Joyce to step aside for it to happen in the first place, so any talk of Fury fighting Zhang is just that talk because it isn't happening.
Maybe I'm alone on this, but I can't see Zhang giving Fury anything to worry about much. He's just not anywhere near the level Fury can reach IF he comes in shape. The HWs are so terrible nowadays, I kind of expect them to come unprepared. An out of shape Fury makes it last a few rounds longer, but a motivated Fury KOs Zhang in 2-3 rounds.
Just an aside, but to all the newbs: There was a time when, if a HW came in fat, he got hammered relentlessly about it for a long time from the press. Today, they call it a 'tactic'.
I doubt the early KO (Zhang seems tough and Fury doesn't have the most power, + I see Zhang refusing to take the easy route out) but agree with your overall assessment. Anything like a peak Fury outboxes and beats Zhang pretty easily.
I am talking Fury in shape, with mindset that he's gonna KO Zhang. If he comes in shape, chances are Fury is still young enough to pull the trigger when he sees the openings. And considering Zhang's non-existent head movement & tendency towards standing straight in front of dudes, doesn't bode well. It seems Fury has every reason in the world to want to take Zhang out. It would go a long, long way towards getting somewhat back in boxing's good graces & rectifying the overall venom he's received for the money matters with Usyk, etc.
